Why do I feel lonely?
You can feel alone because you don’t see or talk to many people or because you don’t feel understood or cared for despite many social connections.
Social contact is one of the needs of life. Some people will just need one or two close relationships, others will need a larger group of friends – we are all different.
Loneliness can be thought of as a way that your body tells you that you need more social contact. You need to find ways to meet more people, and have more social contact.
