Tips for wrapping presents
There is something lovely about a pile of wrapped presents. Whether you love or hate wrapping presents it is a task most of us will have this week.
I’m not going to give you any tips for how to make your presents look beautiful, there are plenty of other articles on that. I am going to give a few tips for avoiding back pain whilst wrapping presents. Each year I see one or two people with back pain after a mammoth wrapping session.
- If possible, break up the task into a few shorter sessions
- Change posture regularly – most of us are not used to sitting on the floor, bending forward for long periods. Do some at the table, some on the floor, some standing, some sitting.
- Try to enjoy wrapping the presents, happy emotions reduce your risk of pain!
There are just three simple tips. The most important one is ‘Keep Moving’. I hope that helps and you have a lovely, pain-free, time wrapping your presents.
