Osteopathy

Treatment for people in pain

When you choose Pain Puzzle, treatment is all carried out from an osteopathic biopsychosocial perspective. Once you schedule a new patient consultation we will meet in-person and undertake a full assessment. The case history conversation will enable an understanding of your current problem, your medical history and your general health and well-being. The assessment will include movements and clinical testing to screen for underlying conditions and identify the impact of your pain on your movement and flexibility. You may need to undress for examination and treatment. You are welcome to bring a friend or relative with you.

Together we will discuss the assessment findings and form a treatment plan for your return to living well. Treatment may include hands-on massage, stretching, mobilisation or manipulation, active movements and exercise, well-being coaching.

Together we will:

  • Connect the dots between where you are and where you want to be
  • Create your personal treatment plan
  • Decipher your body’s unique needs
  • Set your personal goals and work towards sustainable change
  • Treatment is tailored towards active approaches and self-management

What to expect:

  • 8 out of 10 people feel better after their first osteopathic treatment
  • You may need a course of treatment to achieve your goals
  • If we have any concerns about underlying conditions causing your symptoms you will be referred to your GP
  • At each subsequent treatment there will be a reassessment of your progress
