Can pain make you tired?

Yes.
Pain makes everything take more effort. Your muscles are often working harder – under more tension or spasming. You have to think a lot more about how you are going to do things – putting your socks on, getting up and down from sitting, lifting – these automated subconscious activities become conscious. Your brain is working hard planning movement, processing the pain and protecting you from harm.
Pain often affects sleep so you may not be getting a good quality night of sleep which will contribute to your tiredness.
Take extra rest if you need to but remember the general advice is to keep moving and keep active. Rest is not best for back pain.
